Female Suspect Arrested After Reported Gas Supply Sabotage at Multiple Sydney Hospitals
A woman has been arrested following hospital gas systems were allegedly sabotaged at a pair of Sydney-area hospitals.

The Sutherland medical facility in the city's southern suburbs lost medical gases on Tuesday morning, forcing staff to transition to portable oxygen and air as part of their contingency plans, as stated by medical authorities.
"This incident of the loss to gas systems appears to be deliberate sabotage," officials stated.
They further emphasized that "{To allegedly commit such acts represents extreme recklessness. The potential for disastrous consequences."
Police Investigation
NSW police said they received reports of "alleged vandalism at two hospitals in the Caringbah area." It's understood that the second location was a nearby private hospital.
Authorities claim a 42-year-old woman entered the grounds of a medical facility on Kareena Road premises at around just after midnight on Tuesday and "severed utility lines, before activating emergency water systems."
Investigators additionally claim that at approximately early morning, "the suspect accessed the property of another hospital on the same street ... and reportedly deactivated the gas main."
The individual was apprehended in the Miranda area at approximately 4:00 AM on Tuesday for breach of bail, according to police.
Medical Facility Recovery
Health officials confirmed that gas systems were returned to operation by hospital teams and regional health authorities "within approximately two hours."
"I want to assure the public patient care was not affected to patient care and that the facility has resumed normal operations as per normal," officials stated.
They added that "Entry to utility systems in NSW public hospitals is limited to authorized personnel. We will review the situation to identify potential enhancements can be implemented."
Officials disclosed that the woman allegedly scaled a wall at Sutherland hospital and gained access to a secured zone.
